Requirement for bringing a pet from from EU Member States

  • Identification

The animal (dog, cat or ferret) has to be identified by a tattoo if it had been made before 3 July 2011 or a microchip.

  • Vaccine against rabies
  • Pet passport or veterinary certificate.

Requirements for bringing a pet from outside of the EU

  • Identification

The animal (dog, cat or ferret) has to be identified by a tattoo if it had been made before 3 July 2011 or a microchip.

  • Vaccine against rabies and/or serology tests for rabies antibodies.
  • Pet passport or veterinary certificate.
