Lithuanian Embassy in New Delhi today signed the agreement to fund the production of face masks in Bhutan. The project will supplement Royal Government’s of Bhutan efforts in controlling the spread of COVID-19 and will allow to produce locally 46,000 two and three ply layer masks that primarily will be distributed to the frontline workers and those who need them most.

On 20 May, the Government of Lithuania decided to allocate EUR 100,000 in humanitarian aid for the purchase of protective equipment manufactured in Lithuania for medical personnel and staff of other services that are helping to save lives in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

On 6 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei, and discussed information about the receipt of nuclear fuel at the Ostrovets nuclear power plant (NPP) that had been published in Belarus. The telephone conversation took place on the initiative of L. Linkevičius.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated EUR 50, 000 in humanitarian aid to Palestine refugees, in order to help reduce the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to demonstrate solidarity with the international community.
