On 4 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius attended an Arria-formula meeting at the UN Security Council to discuss human rights in Belarus. The meeting was organized on the initiative of Estonia.
On 13 July, at the 44th session of the Human Rights Council, the Permanent Representative of Lithuania, Ambassador Andrius Krivas took the floor in the interactive dialogue with the UN Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers Diego García-Sayán and condemned Russia's actions against Lithuanian justice officials who had investigated the tragic and complex January 13 case.
On 3 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius had a telephone conversation with India’s External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and discussed challenges posed by the global pandemic, as well as other relevant issues of global policy and regional security.
On 25 September, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius spoke at a high-level United Nations event, which focused on challenges facing Mali and the Sahel, as well as proactive measures to counter extremist narratives and ideologies.
